CHINESE CONTINENTAL SCIENTIFIC DRILLING PROJECT

    This project, organized by the Ministry of Land and Resources of China, is implemented by the CCSD Engineering Center. The Director of CCSD Engineering Center is Mr. Wang Da, who is also the Vice Director of China Geological Survey. The Principal Investigator is Madam Xu Zhiqin, who is the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The project consists of the sub-projects of drilling, logging, geophysical measurement, laboratory analysis and tests, data and information management, and long-term observation laboratory.

    Organized in June, 2001, the Headquarter at CCSD Drill Site is responsible the daily management of drilling, logging, geological logging and all other related works at field labs (See the following diagram). The Director of CCSD headquarter is Mr. Wang Da. The Principal Investigator and Vice Director is Madam Xuzhiqin. The other two vice directors are Prof. Ni Jialu and Prof. Yang Wencai. Prof. Yang Jingsui is the Chief Geologist. Prof. Zhang Wei is the Chief Engineer.
